109 new industrial enterprises opened in Sughd region

According to the press service of the governor of Sughd region, the newly established enterprises are mainly in industry, building materials, food production and light industry. They have helped supply the domestic market with locally produced and import-substituting goods.

In January-September 2026, the region used 4,474.3 million kilowatt-hours of electricity worth 2,313.7 million somoni, while 2,405.7 million somoni was paid, equivalent to 104 percent. During the reporting period, 1,351 industrial enterprises were operating, including 38 industrial service enterprises and 1,313 production enterprises, and the range of products manufactured reached 271 items.
