The President of Tajikistan addressed people in Khujand on the 35th anniversary of State Independence, congratulating residents of Sughd Region and highlighting achievements during the independence period, including infrastructure, roads and economic development.
23.09.2026, Khujand The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, speaking at Khujand Stadium on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of State Independence, congratulated the residents of Sughd Region and all those present, and wished every family peace, calm and prosperity. He said independence and freedom are the greatest value and the main achievement of the Tajik nation. According to him, over 35 years of independence, major construction and development work has been carried out across the country, including in Sughd Region, and in the last five years 15400 social and production facilities have been built, reconstructed and put into use.
