Construction of an overpass and a vehicle bridge to begin on Sadii Sherozi Avenue in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 2026-10-14 /Khovar/ — According to Khovar, citing the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, construction of an overpass and a vehicle bridge on Sadii Sherozi Avenue in Dushanbe will begin by the end of this year.

In this connection, a contract was signed between the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, the consortium of Tajikhydroelektromontazh JSC and the Chinese company Heze Urban Construction Engineering Development Group Co., Ltd (HUCG), as well as the Dushanbe Road Reconstruction Projects Implementation Group. The consortium was declared the winner of the project contractor selection tender.

The project aims to reduce accidents, improve the safety of traffic and pedestrians, and ease congestion on Sadii Sherozi Avenue and nearby streets. The construction period is set at 3 years from the date of signing. The project is being implemented under a loan agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, signed on 2025-04-29 for 28.4 million euro.
