By decision of the mayor of Dushanbe, President’s Day will be marked at a high organisational level in the capital

Dushanbe, 2026-10-08 /Khovar/. By decision of Dushanbe Mayor Rustami Emomali, the action plan of the executive authority of the city of Dushanbe for preparations for and celebration of the President’s Day of the Republic of Tajikistan has been approved. The information was reported to Khovar by the information department of the Dushanbe mayor’s office.

Under the approved plan, Dushanbe will host scientific-theoretical conferences, cultural and leisure programmes for residents and visitors of the capital, and sports competitions to mark the day.

The report says that since 2016, 16 November has been observed as President’s Day of the Republic of Tajikistan. The day honours the services of Emomali Rahmon in the formation of modern Tajik statehood, the revival of national statehood, the preservation of peace and unity, and the strengthening of Tajikistan’s standing internationally.
