Customs Service of Tajikistan marks State Language Day

Dushanbe, 05.10.2026 /Khovar/. A ceremonial meeting was held at the Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to mark State Language Day of the Republic of Tajikistan. At the event, the Tajik language was described as one of the main pillars of national statehood and an important factor in strengthening national unity and social development.

According to the report, the Customs Service leadership stressed the language's role in shaping national self-awareness, preserving history and culture, and continuing the people's spiritual traditions. It was also noted that, in the context of globalisation, the protection and development of the state language, observance of literary language standards and its correct use are especially important.

Speakers also said that preserving and respecting the state language is the duty of every citizen, and that law-enforcement staff, including customs officers, should maintain a high culture of speech and help promote national values.
