Number of sole proprietors rises in Sughd Region

Dushanbe, 14.09.2026 /Khovar National News Agency/. Sughd Region has 135,800 sole proprietors in operation. This was reported to Khovar by the press service of the Chairman of Sughd Region.

According to the report, the region has 23,805 sole proprietors operating under patents, 11,795 entities operating under certificates, 21,921 entrepreneurs operating under certificates on special terms, 9,989 legal entities, 50 foreign legal entities and 68,297 dehkan farms. Over the past 4 years, the number of entrepreneurs has increased by 22,022, or 19%.

The private sector’s share in the production of industrial and agricultural goods, as well as in construction, transport, trade and services in Sughd Region, is above 90%. Over the past 3 years, nearly USD 4 billion in foreign and domestic investment has been attracted to the regional economy, and USD 713 million was invested in the first half of this year, which is 136.7% of the same period in 2025.
