On 30 October, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Dushanbe Mayor Rustami Emomali opened the aluminium and plastic doors-and-windows factory of Tamdid LLC in Dushanbe.
The factory was built to support domestic production, increase the country’s industrial capacity, supply the home market with quality goods and create jobs. Modern equipment for making and installing aluminium and plastic doors and windows was imported from Italy, Turkey and the People’s Republic of China.
The facility has four automated production lines and can produce up to 100 items per shift. It makes aluminium and plastic doors and windows, large glass walls, facade systems, entrance doors and other construction products. With the factory in operation, 35 people will receive permanent employment.
It was also noted that the second phase of the project includes a modern glass-processing workshop. Its annual capacity will be 36,000 pieces of glass and 100 jobs will be created; the phase is due to be completed within one and a half years.
