Khatlon accounts for more than 53% of Tajikistan’s total agricultural output

DUSHANBE, 2026-10-22 /Khovar/. According to the press service of the chairman of Khatlon region, local farmers made the main contribution to the country’s agricultural growth. Tajikistan’s total agricultural output reached 35.7 billion somoni.

During the period, notable production figures were recorded across all forms of farming in Khatlon region. More than 864.2 thousand tonnes of grain, 224 thousand tonnes of potatoes, 1.8 million tonnes of vegetables, 945.6 thousand tonnes of melons, 378.1 thousand tonnes of fruit and 133 thousand tonnes of grapes were harvested.

Livestock indicators also improved. Meat production reached 138.8 thousand tonnes, milk 345 thousand tonnes and eggs 137.6 million pieces. In addition, 1.4207 million tonnes of coarse fodder and 22.3 thousand tonnes of succulent fodder were stocked to support the sector.
