Tajik International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship achieves unprecedented result in GreenMetric 2026 ranking

DUSHANBE, 2026-10-02 /Khovar/. The Tajik International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship has achieved an unprecedented result in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026 by placing sustainable development at the centre of its work. According to the 2026 results, the university ranked 450th among 2,016 higher education institutions from 110 countries and, as in 2025, took first place in Tajikistan. Compared with its 810th place in 2025, the university moved up 360 positions in one year. The university scored 7,187.5 points across seven main areas. Its strongest results were recorded in research, sustainable transport, and management and digitalisation. In 2026, a 150 kW solar power plant was also commissioned, while work continued on energy saving, waste separation, water conservation, and digitalising institutional processes.
