Tajik delegation takes part in the Hehe-2026 cultural forum in China

On 28 October 2026, the Hehe-2026 cultural forum opened in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, the People’s Republic of China, with a Tajik delegation attending under the leadership of Khayriddin Usmonzoda, director of the Centre for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the forum, Usmonzoda spoke about key issues of international relations, strengthening peace and stability, and developing regional cooperation. He said cooperation with China in the fields of economy, energy, rational use of water resources, modern technologies, and scientific and educational ties is important for Tajikistan.

On the sidelines of the forum, he met Zhang Bo, president of the China International Communications Group (CICG). The two sides discussed implementation of the memorandum on establishing the China-Tajikistan Centre for Modernisation Research, signed in May 2026 during the state visit of President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan to China.
