Leader of the Nation: 15,400 facilities built and renovated in Sughd Region ahead of the 35th anniversary of state independence

DUSHANBE, 2026-09-23 /Khovar/. The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, said this today during a meeting with the heads and active members of Sughd Region held in Khujand on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Head of State said that over the past three days, 43 newly built production and social facilities had been commissioned in the cities and districts of the region, including large industrial enterprises in Istiklol and Guliston, dozens of educational and medical institutions, and service facilities equipped with modern technology and the best conditions. Thousands of new jobs were created there.

Emomali Rahmon added that more than 1,000 jobs had been created only at the Adrasmon ore-processing plant in Guliston, while the second phase of the Tajikistan-China mining and industrial company’s metallurgical plant in Istiklol and the company’s lime plant had provided another 320 new jobs. He said these achievements showed support for the state’s constructive policy and the active participation of Sughd residents in developing the country.
