Implementation of joint projects for Tajikistan’s sustainable economic and social development discussed with the Islamic Development Bank

On 22 September 2026 in Dushanbe, a meeting was held between the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, Fayziddin Qahhorzoda, and the newly appointed head of the regional office of the Islamic Development Bank, Hammad Zafar Hundal.

The sides discussed priority areas for future cooperation. These included investment in the energy sector, taking into account the key role of the Rogun hydropower plant in ensuring energy security and developing green energy in the region, as well as the development of transport infrastructure and regional connectivity, and the construction and renovation of education institutions.
