Congratulations from the Chairman of the National Council and Mayor of Dushanbe, Mr Rustami Emomali, on Teachers' Day

In his message, Rustami Emomali described the teacher as holding a high place in national culture and as a light of knowledge, a link between generations, and a guide on the path to learning. He said that it is through the dedicated work of teachers that the younger generation gains knowledge, a constructive outlook and a sense of responsibility to society and the homeland.

The message also refers to the consistent attention of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, to the development of education as one of the main priorities of state policy. It notes measures to strengthen the material and technical base of educational institutions, improve teaching and upbringing, and align the education system with the needs of society and the domestic and foreign labour markets.
