Winners of the nationwide “Entrepreneur of the Year - 2026” contest honoured in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 2026-10-14 /Khovar/. Within the framework of the business forum “Tajikistan, Forward!”, held on the occasion of Entrepreneurs’ Day, which is marked on 14 October in Tajikistan, a ceremony was held in Dushanbe to honour the winners of the nationwide “Entrepreneur of the Year - 2026” contest. The contest was aimed at encouraging successful business initiatives, developing commercial activity, improving the competitiveness of domestic enterprises and recognising the contribution of the private sector to the country’s social and economic development. Winners were selected in 16 nominations covering key sectors of the economy, including banking, industry, agriculture, transport, energy, construction, digitalisation, innovation, information and communication technologies, tourism, trade and services. Awards were presented to the winners by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Hokim Kholiqzoda, Presidential Adviser on Economic Matters Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, heads of ministries, state committees and agencies, and representatives of the Dushanbe city executive authority. The contest was described as a key event of the “Tajikistan, Forward!” forum.
