Ufa marks the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s State Independence

At the initiative of the Consulate General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Ufa, Russian Federation, a ceremonial event was held to mark the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The event was attended by representatives of the state authorities of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Russian Federation, heads of foreign consular missions, representatives of business, public, academic and cultural circles, as well as leaders and representatives of Tajik associations in the regions of the Volga Federal District and fellow nationals.

Faridun Fayzullozoda, Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Ufa, underlined the historical significance of state independence. The programme also highlighted Tajikistan’s achievements during the independence period, its socio-economic development and its role in addressing pressing global and regional issues. The cultural segment featured Tajik performers and an exhibition of Tajik culture and national heritage.
