Republican conference on the history and culture of the Kushans held in Tajikistan

According to Khovar, on 2026-10-30 in Dushanbe, the conference brought together scholars and researchers who presented papers on various aspects of the history and culture of the Kushan state, archaeological findings and the importance of Tajikistan’s historical monuments.

Participants also discussed historical inscriptions, material culture, the development of handicrafts, burial customs, the political and economic system, and the Kushans’ cultural links with neighbouring civilisations. The event was described as an opportunity to study key issues of the Kushan state on the basis of archaeological material and historical monuments in Tajikistan.
