Autumn conscription. The military draft plan in Khujand was fulfilled by 100 percent

DUSHANBE, 07.10.2026 / AMIT “Khovar” /. According to the executive authority of the city of Khujand, the city's young people, with a strong sense of patriotism and national identity, were sent to serve the Motherland, and the military draft plan was fulfilled by 100 percent.

In the autumn draft, with the support of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Tajikistan, 20 people and, with financing from the executive authority of the city of Khujand, 30 conscripts from Khujand completed the driving school of the city’s public organisation supporting defence, received driving licences and were sent to military service. More than 20 civil servants also brought their children to the military commissariat.

It is recalled that, according to the decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, citizens born in 1999-2008 are being called up for military service in this year’s autumn draft. The compulsory one-year conscription is carried out twice a year, from 1 April to 31 May and from 1 October to 30 November.
