Energy issues in Tajikistan were discussed in London

On 16 September 2026 in London, United Kingdom, a meeting was held between Tajikistan's Minister of Finance, Fayziddin Qahhorzoda, and Yekaterina Miroshnik, Director of the Eurasia region's sustainable infrastructure department at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The two sides discussed priority areas for future cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the energy sector, given the key role of the Rogun hydropower plant in ensuring energy security and industrial development, as well as to electricity transmission, network modernisation and reducing losses.
