Opening of an automotive spare parts plant in the Kulob Free Economic Zone

On 2026-10-05, during President Emomali Rahmon's working visit to Kulob, the Tojik-Almos LLC plant was put into operation in the Kulob Free Economic Zone.
The new production facility was built with the participation of local entrepreneur Khayriddin Boboev and is intended to support industrial output, expand the region's production capacity and help supply the domestic market with home-produced goods.
The plant has started making automotive spare parts, including oil and air filters. Its technology and production equipment were fully imported, and local specialists were trained by foreign experts. The workforce mainly consists of housewives from nearby neighbourhoods.
The President was told that annual output is 700000 units and that, at full production capacity, more than 150 types of filters are expected to be produced. Officials also said the plant has created 20 jobs and that a second phase will be built within one year, with 30 more jobs and annual output of 400000 products.
