Officials from Tajikistan's Communications Service and UNICEF discussed the use of digital technologies, artificial intelligence and child protection online.
In Dushanbe on 2026-10-07, a meeting was held between Parviz Noriyon, First Deputy Head of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Miles Hasti, head of UNICEF's digital impact area, to discuss the use of digital technologies, the development of artificial intelligence and, in particular, the protection of children in the digital environment.
The sides exchanged views on the role of digital technologies in social development, the creation of new educational opportunities for children and teenagers, and the need to form a safe digital environment.
They also noted that the rapid growth of information and communication technologies and the wider use of the internet require children and teenagers to acquire the skills needed to use digital tools safely and responsibly. Both sides expressed readiness to develop and implement effective cooperation mechanisms in the field of digital technologies and child protection online.
