Khovar Calendar: today is 16 October, Friday, the 289th day of 2026

This calendar notice recalls events of 16 October in Tajikistan and abroad, including the launch of an industrial plant in Buston in 2013, the signing of a joint declaration between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan in Dushanbe in 2014, and the start of a company in Guliston in 2020.
On 16 October 2013, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the industrial enterprise “Sughd Pak” was launched in the city of Buston, Sughd Region.
On 16 October 2014 in Dushanbe, the joint declaration of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was signed. On the same day, Emomali Rahmon gave an interview to journalists from the American news agency “United World” and answered questions about the modern history of Tajikistan.
Also on 16 October 2020, Emomali Rahmon, during a working visit to Sughd Region, launched the activity of the limited liability company “Murghi a'lo sifat” in the city of Guliston. In Tajikistan, this date is also observed as Tajik Cinema Day.
