35th anniversary of state independence: 300 general education institutions put into use in Badakhshan during this period

DUSHANBE, 08.10.2026 /Khovar/. During the country’s independence period, 300 general education institutions and more than 1,600 additional classrooms for 43,000 places were built and put into use in the cities and districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region at a cost of more than 600 million somoni.

The construction of new educational facilities in different parts of the region has improved access for children and adolescents to education. The additional classrooms also help create suitable conditions and organise the education process at the required level.
