Meeting with the leaders and activists of Sughd Province

On 23 September in Khujand, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, met with the leaders and activists of Sughd Province. He warmly congratulated the hardworking and patriotic people of the province on the 35th anniversary of State Independence.

It was noted that, for the 35th anniversary of State Independence, 15,400 social and production facilities were built and renovated in the cities and districts of Sughd Province. Over the past three days, 43 newly built production and social facilities were commissioned during the head of state's working visit, including major industrial enterprises in the cities of Istiqlol and Guliston, dozens of educational and medical institutions, and service facilities.

The meeting was told that, during the years of independence, more than 40 billion somoni from the state budget have been allocated to the comprehensive development of the province. More than 100 state investment projects worth 11 billion somoni have been implemented in the province, and another 24 projects are still under way.
