Dushanbe, 05.10.2026. Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon delivered a congratulatory message on the occasion of State Language Day of the Republic of Tajikistan. He said that the social status of the language, the need to know it at a high level, and respect for the mother tongue should be promoted more widely among children, teenagers and young people from the earliest stages of education and upbringing.
The President said the younger generation should understand that without knowledge of the literary Tajik language and observance of its semantic and grammatical rules, learning and mastering foreign languages is very difficult and even impossible. He added that language is not only a means of expressing thought, but also a rare social phenomenon containing history, civilisation, culture, spirituality and a strong sense of self-awareness and patriotism.
He also stressed that the duty of native speakers is to support the language with a strong sense of national pride, ensure its correct and standard use at all levels of activity, and present the beautiful and elegant Tajik-Persian language to the world in a worthy manner.
