State Flag Day to be marked at a high level in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 20.10.2026 /Khovar/. On the basis of a decision by the Mayor of Dushanbe, State Flag Day of the Republic of Tajikistan will be marked at a high level in the capital. The information was provided to Khovar by the information department of the Mayor's office in Dushanbe.

On this occasion, ceremonial meetings will be held in the city's districts, and a cultural gathering will take place in the State Flag Park. State Flag Day of Tajikistan has been officially marked since 2009 by decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.

The report also notes that the State Flag of Tajikistan consists of three colours - green, white and red - which symbolise greenery, a bright path, happiness, good fortune, freedom and independence. In 2011, on the initiative and under the guidance of the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, the world's tallest flag, with a 165-metre flagpole, was raised in Dushanbe and entered the Guinness Book of Records.
