Tourism Development Committee announces a contest to develop the sector and promote Tajikistan's tourism potential

Dushanbe, 2026-09-17 /Khovar National News Agency/. The Tourism Development Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan has announced a contest on the occasion of World Tourism Day (27 September) to support the development of the tourism sector, encourage tourism service providers, journalists, bloggers and other media representatives, and attract independent experts to promote the country's tourism potential.
According to the committee, the contest is being held to expand services in the tourism sector, present Tajikistan's tourism opportunities and, on that basis, attract more domestic and foreign tourists.
The contest, under the title "Discover Tajikistan", will be held in the categories "Best travel company", "Best restaurant", "Best hotel", "Best guide", "Best blogger and innovation proposal based on artificial intelligence", "Best tourism journalist" and "Best tourism video". Those interested may contact the Tourism Development Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan at 3 Akademik Rajabov Street, Dushanbe, or by phone on (+992 37) 227 87 72 and 227 84 90. The deadline for submitting documents is 2026-10-15. Winners will be awarded diplomas and cash prizes.
