Decision by the Chairman of Dushanbe on preparations for and celebration of Constitution Day of the Republic of Tajikistan has been approved

DUSHANBE, 2026-10-08 /Khovar/. The decision by the Chairman of Dushanbe on preparations for and celebration of Constitution Day of the Republic of Tajikistan has been approved. The event plan of the executive authority of the city of Dushanbe was also approved within this framework.

According to the decision, in order to mark Constitution Day of the Republic of Tajikistan at a high level, meetings, discussions and cultural and entertainment programmes with the participation of sector specialists will be held in all institutions and organisations of the executive authority of the city of Dushanbe and its subordinate units.

The report notes that 32 years ago, on 1994-11-06, a major event took place in the history of the Republic of Tajikistan. For the first time, the people of Tajikistan adopted the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan through a nationwide referendum. As the basic law, the Constitution defined the legal foundations of the state, the inviolability and unity of the country, national interests, and the political, legal, economic and social foundations of society.
