Tajikistan’s President: the number of industrial enterprises in Sughd has increased 11-fold during the years of independence
Emomali Rahmon said at a meeting with leaders and activists of Sughd Region that the region’s gross output in 2025 reached 49 billion somoni and that more than 70 billion somoni in loans were provided to businesses and residents during the independence period.
According to Khovar, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan met in Khujand today with leaders and activists of Sughd Region on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Emomali Rahmon said that Sughd Region’s gross output in 2025 amounted to 49 billion somoni, underlining the region’s notable contribution to strengthening the country’s economic potential.
He also said that during the years of independence, credit institutions provided more than 70 billion somoni in loans to entrepreneurs and residents of the region, creating favourable conditions for the development of industry, agriculture and tourism.
