State Independence: 493 industrial and social facilities have been commissioned in Kulob by 1 October

Dushanbe, 06.10.2026 /Khovar/. In honour of the 35th anniversary of State Independence, 493 industrial and social facilities had been commissioned in the city of Kulob by 1 October 2026, exceeding the planned target. President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon said this on 5 October during his address marking the anniversary at the stadium in Kulob.

The Head of State stated that, during today's working visit, another 41 facilities were also commissioned. It was noted that more than somoni 3.9 billion from the state budget had been allocated to the social and economic development of Kulob during the years of independence.

He also stressed that improving the housing conditions of the city’s residents had remained a constant priority in the independence period. Over this time, residential buildings with a total area of 618,000 square metres have been built and commissioned in Kulob, and land plots for housing construction have been allocated to more than 8,000 families.
