Tajik delegation takes part in CIS meeting of heads of tax inspection bodies

On 23 September 2026, the 25th meeting of the CIS Coordination Council of heads of tax inspection (financial) bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan. Tajikistan was represented by officials from the Agency for State Financial Control and Anti-Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The meeting reviewed issues related to the work of the CIS member states’ tax inspection bodies in ensuring economic security, strengthening practical cooperation, exchanging experience and views on effective ways to counter economic crimes and other forms of transnational crime, as well as implementing previously adopted Council decisions. The participants also discussed improving mechanisms to counter the embezzlement of budget funds.

At the end of the meeting, the relevant decisions were adopted. The event also included a meeting between the Tajik delegation and the leadership of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
