Communications workers prepare for cold weather

DUSHANBE, 07.10.2026 /NIAT "Khovar"/. Technical specialists at MegaFon Tajikistan have begun comprehensive preparations for communications sites for the autumn and winter period across the country. Equipment checks and the provision of backup power sources for base stations are being carried out in advance to support network operations during the cold season.

Temperature swings, snow, ice and strong winds pose a serious challenge to Tajikistan's telecommunications sector every year. In the cold season, access to many communications facilities becomes difficult, so specialists inspect all systems beforehand and organise maintenance of base stations and other elements of the infrastructure.
