More than 4,000 industrial workshops and enterprises operate in Tajikistan

According to the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, 4,026 industrial workshops and enterprises are operating in the country. Of these, 385 are in extraction, 3,466 in manufacturing, 72 in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, and 103 in water supply and waste management.

By region, 1,338 units, or 33.2%, are in Sughd Region, 932, or 23.2%, in Khatlon Region, 838, or 20.8%, in Dushanbe, 702, or 17.4%, in districts subordinate to the republic, and 216, or 5.4%, in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. The report says industrialisation and job creation remain national priorities.
