PISA 2025 has for the first time provided Tajikistan with internationally comparable data on the knowledge and skills of 15-year-old pupils

The Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan and the National Testing Centre presented the results of the country's first participation in PISA 2025.
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan and the National Testing Centre under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan presented on 15 September the results of Tajikistan's first participation in PISA 2025, the OECD international programme for assessing students' educational achievement. The ministry's press service said this.
The PISA 2025 survey was conducted in paper format among 15-year-old pupils in Dushanbe and covered three main areas: science literacy, mathematics literacy and reading literacy. A total of 5,771 pupils from 160 selected educational institutions took part in the testing.
The report stressed that, because the study was carried out only in Dushanbe, the results reflect the situation in the capital alone and should not be extended to the whole education system of Tajikistan.
