Telephone conversation with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin

At the start of the call, the President of Russia warmly congratulated the Head of State of Tajikistan on his birthday and conveyed his good wishes.

Emomali Rahmon, expressing gratitude for the warm and sincere congratulations, said he regarded those good wishes as being for all the people of Tajikistan. The two heads of state then discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations, which are based on the principles of strategic partnership and alliance.

The presidents also exchanged views on other urgent matters of mutual interest.
