President Emomali Rahmon makes a working visit to Rasht district

On 11 September, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, made a working visit to Rasht district to inaugurate a number of facilities of different purposes in the Rasht Valley, hold talks with residents and take part in festive events marking the 35th anniversary of State Independence.

At Rasht district airport, the Head of State was welcomed by the district leadership and residents with respect, sincerity and particular warmth. Emomali Rahmon then put the Rasht district airport into operation.

The airport building was renovated during improvement works with support from local entrepreneurs, and modern passenger services have been arranged there. In future, with the opening of new routes, air links with other regions are expected to be restored and services brought in line with current requirements. The Head of State praised the builders' work and gave officials instructions and recommendations to improve the airport's operations further.
