On 18 August 2026, Nizomiddin Zohidi, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Islamic Republic of Iran, met and held talks with Said Sajad Razavi, Deputy for Treatment at Iran’s Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education.
The two sides reviewed ways to strengthen cooperation in healthcare and treatment, pharmaceuticals, and the exchange of experience between medical specialists from the two countries. Organising medical tourism was also discussed.
Attention was also given to improving the documents that regulate bilateral and specialist cooperation. Both sides underlined the need to move these areas forward in a practical way.
At the end of the meeting, they reaffirmed their readiness to further expand friendly relations and mutually beneficial professional cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran.
