Meeting with compatriots living abroad held in Dushanbe

A meeting with compatriots living abroad was held at the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in Dushanbe to mark the 35th anniversary of State Independence. The ministry said Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda spoke about the difficult circumstances of the civil war years, the constructive and historic role of the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, on the path to peace and stability, and the strengthening of full political and state independence, as well as the achievements of the independence period.

It was noted that peace and national unity, as a major achievement of the people of Tajikistan, became the main basis for the country’s further development. Political stability created wider opportunities to implement constructive programmes, develop the national economy, improve living standards, strengthen governance and raise Tajikistan’s standing on the international stage.
