Visit to the festival of national dishes, folk crafts and industrial and agricultural products, and attendance at a grand cultural programme by artists of CIS member states in Turkmenistan
On 8 October, the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, visited the festival and product exhibition in Awaza, Turkmenistan, together with other heads of CIS member states.
National pavilions were set up during the festival, with the participating countries presenting their hospitality traditions through national dishes, customs and table settings. Tajikistan's pavilion drew attention with national and traditional food, folk crafts, tourism potential, and domestic industrial and agricultural products.
A grand cultural programme by artists from the CIS member states was also held in the presence of Emomali Rahmon and other heads of state. Tajik performers presented a special concert programme featuring leading examples of national music, song and traditional dance.
