On 30 October, Emomali Rahmon and Rustami Emomali in Dushanbe familiarised themselves with several new industrial, logistics, agricultural and medical projects and laid the foundation stone for a number of facilities.
In the Arbobkhotuni area of the Sino district, construction began on a modern logistics and production complex for Yovar LLC. The project includes a food production centre and facilities for processing and packaging fruit and vegetables, and once fully implemented it will create 930 permanent jobs.
A foundation stone was also laid for a new household-appliances plant for Artel Avesto Electronics LLC. The plant's annual output will exceed 500000 household appliances, with 400 jobs planned. In the same area, the Man House LLC production project was also presented. It is expected to produce 10000 tables, 5000 beds, 4000 wardrobes, 4000 assorted chairs and 5000 medical items a year, and will provide 60 permanent jobs after commissioning.
In addition, construction began on an agrologistics centre designed for the reception, storage, processing and packaging of agricultural produce. The centre can store up to 2000 tonnes at a time and is expected to help reduce post-harvest losses, support farmers and expand export opportunities. The Marmari LLC cold-storage project, with a capacity of 2000 tonnes, was also presented; 240 permanent jobs will be created when it is put into operation. Officials said that, across the seven projects presented, more than 3000 jobs are expected in total.
